Yuriy Bykov

Yuri Bykov is a director, screenwriter and actor born in 1981 in Russia. He studied acting at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), and performed at various Moscow theatres after graduating in 2005. A year later, Bykov started to direct short films and write screenplays. In 2009, his short film The Boss, in which he also plays the lead role, won many awards. In 2010, he directed Live!, his first feature film. In 2013, he then directed The Major. The movie is shown at Sofia Film Fest on Shore in 2014.
