Tal Granit, Sharon Maymon

Tal Granit

Tal Granit was born in Tel Aviv in 1969 and graduated from the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School in Jerusalem. Granit is also a graduate of the Screenwriter School and studied acting at Yoram Levinstein’s Acting Studio. Together with Sharon Maymon, she wrote and directed To Kill a Bumblebee (2009), which won the Best Short Film Award at Valladolid Film Festival and Haifa Film Festival. The film won several other prizes around the world. The two also wrote and directed Mortgage (52 min, 2006). Granit and Maymon have worked together also for Laharog Dvora (2010) and Summer Vacation (2012).


Sharon Maymon

Maymon was born in Ramle in 1973 and is a graduate of the Camera Obscura Film School. Maymon co-writer and co-director the feature film A Matter of Size (2009, 90 mins) which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival 2009 and was the opening film of the Jerusalem Film Festival the same year. The film also won the Audience Award at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival. A Matter of Size was nominated in thirteen categories in the Israeli Academy Awards and won three of them, and it was the blockbuster film in Israel in 2009.
