Oscar Ruiz NaviaBorn in 1982 in Colombia, Oscar Ruiz Navia graduated in Social Communication and Journalism from Universidad del Valle. In 2006, he founded Contravía Films, a platform to produce art house films. His feature film debut, Crab Trap (2009), won the FIPRESCI Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival. In 2013, his short film Solecito was selected at the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes. His second feature, Los Hongos, was supported by the TorinoFilmLab, the Hubert Bals Fund and the Cinéfondation, among others.
