Born in 1987 in Mumbai, India, Chaitanya Tamhane is an English Literature graduate. He has been actively involved in theatre and film since 2004. After directing a feature-length documentary on plagiarism in Indian cinema and a short film, Six Strands (2011), he made the social court drama Court in 2014, which was awarded at several international festivals.
