Borislav Sharaliev

Born in 1933 in Plovdiv. Studied in SU “St. Kliment Ohridski” and film directing in the class of Mikhail Romm in VGIK, Moscow (1954). He has worked in Feature Film Studio “Boyana” (1950 – 1991), he was a chairman on the board of directors in “Boyana film” (1995 – 1997). He was a member of the Union of Bulgarian Film Makers. Borislav Sharaliev made many movies, received many different awards, such as Golden Pigeon in Berlin ’66 for Vaskata (1965) and Silver Lion in Venice ’66 for Knight Without Armour (1965). Borislav Sharaliev died in 2002.
